I have always loved to draw and paint. In kindergarten my favorite activity was painting. My teacher would tell my mother how I was so hard to control the days I knew I was going to paint, because I had trouble sitting still during lessons while waiting for playtime. Every summer my family and I would travel south to Los Alamos, New Mexico to visit my Grandparents where my Granddad, a successful Architect, would teach my sister and I how to draw. As both a child and a teenager I took every opportunity to enter my artwork in various shows and displays.

In April of 2004, I received a Bachelors Degree in Illustration at Brigham Young University, where I studied among great illustrators such as Bethanne Andersen, Richard Hull, Douglas Fryer, Howard Fullmer, Robert Barrett, Chris Thornock, Don Seegmiller, and Casey Nelson. While attending BYU, I collaborated with a fellow classmate, now a successful illustrator, Shawna Tenney on a children’s book titled Bryant the Giant Squirrel for BYU’s elementary education program. Shortly after graduation I worked as an intern for illustrator Robert Neubecker, scanning his original artwork to make available for online stock illustration.

Currently I live in Springville, Utah. I work full time as a Graphic Designer for Alpine Innovations LLC, a company out of Lehi, Utah that manufactures handy innovative products for the eyewear, photography, golfing, fishing, and hunting markets. During my free time I continue to develop illustration projects that are waiting to get noticed. I enjoy developing illustrations that are fitting for both the Children's book and Editorial Markets. I particularly like to develop narrative illustrations that involve the use of animals as the main characters. Acrylic paint is my favorite medium to work with. I am also crazy about music, and would like to develop projects that involve the use of my favorite musicians as subject matter. I Launched this web site in order to keep myself busy with exploring my creativity and self-promotion. Feel free to check this web site regularly for upcoming finished projects.
